Police helicopter over Plymouth in stolen motorbike hunt

The police helicopter was launched today to help in the search for a stolen motorbike in Plymouth. Units were deployed in the Mutley area of the city shortly after 2pm.
The NPAS chopper could be seen circling streets in the hunt for the rider. Locals also reported a police presence in Edgar Terrace, though police could not confirm the two incident were linked.
Devon and Cornwall Police[1] have confirmed officers were tracking a stolen motorbike which had triggered an automatic number plate recognition device.
The Force Incident Manager said: "The ANPR was activated for a stolen motorbike. An area search took place assisted by the police helicopter.
"The bike was found abandoned shortly after 3pm. There have been no arrests and investigations are continuing."
