Person airlifted to Stoke following crash between van and lorry near …

The incident happened on the A547 Rhuddlan Road between Abergele and the St George junction on July 12 about 7am. 

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (July 12) shortly after 7am to reports of a road traffic collision on Rhuddlan Road.

“We sent two emergency ambulances, one Cymru high acuity response unit paramedic and a duty operational manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One person was taken by air to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”

A spokesperson from North Wales Police said: “We were called at 7.27am reporting a road traffic collision on the A547 Rhuddlan Road near Borth Crossroads, involving a van and a HGV.

“Officers attended alongside colleagues from WAST and NWFRS.

“The road remains closed whilst recovery of the vehicles is undertaken.”
