Pedestrian dies in HGV crash which closed A52 for seven hours
A pedestrian has died following a crash in Grantham[1] on Tuesday (July 11). The incident closed the A52 for seven hours, from 12.05pm.
Police say they are are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the fatal collision, which involved the male pedestrian and HGV.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police[2] said: “Our Force Control Room received a call at 12.05pm today (11 July) reporting a collision on the A52, near the southbound junction with the A1. Emergency services attended but sadly the man, aged 57 from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We have made no arrests relating to this incident. If you have dashcam footage of the collision, or have any information that could help our investigation, please email [email protected] putting “Incident 193 of 11 July” in the Subject line.”
