Parents take two children on holiday ‘in the boot of their car’

A driver was stopped by police[1] after travelling with two children in the boot.
North West Motorway Police received reports that a five seater car was travelling on the motorway with seven passengers. Officers caught up with the VW Arteon and pulled it over on junction 20 of the M6.[2][3]
They found that there were two children in the boot of the car. The driver alleged that the family had been going on holiday, according to police. A spokesperson said the driver had been reported for three offences , including carrying two passengers without seatbelts.
They said: "VW Arteon stopped following report of seven people on board , two children in the boot. Vehicle sighted on the M6, taken off Junction 20.
"Driver reported for three offences, carrying two passengers with no seatbelts and using a vehicle for an unsuitable purpose. Family going on holiday."
