Gold-medal winning archer Danielle Brown handed out the prizes when some of the brightest young sporting talent in the Watford and Three Rivers area was recognised at an awards ceremony.
The Paralympic star, who won archery gold in Beijing and London, was the guest at this year’s Three Rivers & Watford School Sports Partnership awards at Rickmansworth’s Watersmeet Theatre where awards were presented in 11 categories, celebrating sporting and leadership successes.
A total of 38 infant, primary and secondary schools make up the partnership which is hosted by Rickmansworth School, whose pupils Erin Mulholland, nominated for Key Stage 3 to 5 Outstanding Contribution to School Sport, and Harveer Seikham, nominated for Exceptional Performer Award in the same age group, both picked up second-place awards.
