North Wales pharmacies on list of 10 put up for sale by chain
Two pharmacies in North Wales have gone on the market. Christie & Co has been instructed to sell 10 pharmacies operating across the North West of England and North Wales on behalf of North Meols Pharmacy Limited.
This includes two places in the seaside town of Rhyl. These are Ffordd Elan Pharmacy and Parry’s Corner Pharmacy, on Pendyffryn Road. Christie’s said the 10 pharmacies benefit from standard hours contracts and are operated on a fully managed basis.
Starting from a single pharmacy acquisition in 2009, the group has grown through a series of acquisitions over the last 13 years to its current portfolio size. Having successfully operated the pharmacies and built the group over the last 13 years, North Meols Pharmacy Limited is now looking to sell the businesses to concentrate fully on its community pharmacy business in Northern Ireland.
Jon Booth, director, medical at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Naturally, we are delighted to have been instructed to offer the 10 North Meols Pharmacy sites for sale. In our opinion, this is one of the best small pharmacy estates in the North West, with the majority of them having volumes well in excess of the UK average dispensing level. The group represents fantastic opportunities for a range of buyers both large and small.”
Christie’s said they boast strong historical performances, with the average dispensing over 10,000 items per month. England. The sales will be conducted in the main by way of asset sales with interest invited on a group, subgroup, or individual basis
