New Stansted Airport bus will cost ?2 from Essex locations
A new First Essex bus route service that connects a number of Essex locations with Stansted Airport is due to start this week. First Essex has announced the new Airlink X20 bus route is scheduled to start July 23, which will connect places in north Essex with the international serving airport.
The newest services will operate hourly every day. Destinations linked to the airport include Colchester, Coggeshall, Braintree, and Dunmow. Tickets cost £2 each way until the end of October due to the Government’s single fare cap.
The route covers a wide range of stops from Colchester, through Lexden and onto Marks Tey, calling at Coggeshall and Bradwell. It then offers a fast track to Stansted from Braintree and Dunmow. The newly refurbished buses have various equipment installed like luggage racks, comfortable seats, and air conditioning systems.
A First Essex spokesperson said: “Whether heading to the skies for business or pleasure, the new addition to the First Essex Airlink bus services provides an affordable and eco-friendly alternative to taking the car. The X20 has convenient departure points throughout the route, making it easily accessible for passengers in the locality.
“First Essex Bus is thrilled to offer this new airport service by offering residents better connectivity and choice of transport.”
