Merseyrail services cancelled due to trespasser on line

Some Merseyrail services have been cancelled due to a trespasser on the line.

The rail operator[1] tweeted this morning (July 28): “Due to a trespasser on the line, services on the Kirkby[2] and Ormskirk[3] lines are facing some disruption. Whilst services on the Southport line are facing delays.”

On the Ormskirk line, the following trains have been cancelled:

  • 0619 Ormskirk to Liverpool Central
  • 0647 Liverpool Central to Ormskirk
  • 0649 Ormskirk to Liverpool Central
  • 0701 Liverpool Central to Ormskirk
  • 0734 Ormskirk to Liverpool Central
  • 0749 Ormskirk to Liverpool Central

On the Kirkby line, the following trains have been cancelled:

  • 0646 Fazakerley to Liverpool Central
  • 0705 Liverpool Central to Fazakerley
  • 0750 Liverpool Central to Fazakerley
