Man injured in Lanarkshire multi-vehicle collision on M74 near …
Emergency services[1] have rushed to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision[2] on the M74 near Hamilton.
Police and Ambulance crews[3] raced to the incident after they received reports of a crash near junction six heading southbound on the motorway at around 4.10pm.
Several vehicles were involved in the incident and officers have closed off both lane one and two of the carriageway. One man was injured and his condition is unknown.
Emergency services are still on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.10pm, police received a report of a road crash involving several vehicles on the M74 southbound near J6.
"Emergency services are in attendance. We have a report of one man being injured and lanes 1 and 2 of the carriageway are closed."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
