Man found dead in Huddersfield home after police break in – full …

A man has sadly died in Huddersfield this morning, police have confirmed.

West Yorkshire Police[1] responded to a call for safety at a residential property in Huddersfield on Monday (July 31) morning, where a man has sadly been found dead at the scene.

A huge police cordon was erected at the scene in Willwood Avenue, near Reinwood Road in Huddersfield[2] and witnesses have reported a large police presence[3]. Officers have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “At 7.47am today (Monday), police received a concern for safety report relating to an address in Willwood Avenue, Huddersfield.

“Officers gained entry to the address and found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and enquiries are continuing.”
