Man dies in crash involving car and lorry in Lichfield

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on the A515 in Kings Bromley at around 7am.
A man in his 30s, who was the driver of a BMW, was found with serious injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “On arrival, crews found a car and a lorry had been involved in a collision.
“Sadly, it quickly became clear that the driver of the car, a man, could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene. There were no other patients requiring assessment.”
Staffordshire Police has said specially-trained officers have been deployed to support the man’s family.
The driver of the lorry reportedly remained at the scene to help police with enquiries.
The force has now asked anyone with any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time or those with any information to come forward to aid collision investigators.
