Man dead and two others injured in crash
A man has died and two others were injured following a crash on a busy road. Two cars and a lorry were involved in the collision in Shropshire.
Emergency services were called to the B4393 Alberbury Road[1] in Ford, at around midday on Monday, July 10. Medics said a man was confirmed dead at the scene, while a woman who was seriously injured was airlifted to hospital.
A second man received treatment for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital. West Mercia Police[2] is now appealing for witnesses – particularly those with dash-cam footage to come forward.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service[4] spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered three patients. One of whom, a man, was found to be in a critical condition and already receiving medical assistance from colleagues from the fire service. However, sadly it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A second patient, a woman, was found to have suffered serious injuries and following treatment at the scene was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital. A second man received treatment for potentially serious injuries before being taken to the same hospital by land ambulance.”
Witnesses are asked to contact PC Steve Wootton by emailing [email protected] or calling 07967303892. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
