Man, 60s, dies after being hit by lorry crossing the A43 in Kettering
A man in his 60s has died after being hit by a lorry while crossing the A43 in Kettering[1]. The incident happened shortly after 2.20pm on Friday (July 7).
A male pedestrian in his 60s was crossing the A43 northbound, close to the junction for the logistics park. It is situated opposite Weekley Wood Avenue. The man was then in collision with a blue Scania 500s HGV.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Anyone with information about the collision who has yet to speak to officers is asked to email [email protected] or alternatively call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615, or Northamptonshire Police on 101.
“Please quote incident number 23000419272 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.”
The appeal was posted on Facebook by Northamptonshire Police[3]. One person commented: “Very sad, Thoughts are with the man’s family, and all others involved, and everyone gets the support they need RIP.”
Another person added: “Horrific. Sending my thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.”
