M6 recap after lorry and two vans crash near M5 south link

Motorists were advised to allow extra time for their journeys following a crash on the M6 southbound.^[1] Multiple vehicles collided between J9 for Walsall and J8 for the M5 south link.

Emergency services were at the scene and two out of four lanes were closed, a spokesperson for National Highways has said. They tweeted about the incident at 4pm this afternoon (July 11).

A tweet said: "2 of (4) lanes are closed on the #M6 southbound between J9 (#Walsall) and J8 (#M5 south link) following a multiple vehicle collision.

"Traffic Officers and emergency services are en route. Please allow extra time for your journey as delays are building."
