M1 traffic today live as two lanes closed after crash and oil spillage

Two lanes have been closed on the M1 Northbound, South Yorkshire, following a crash.

Lanes two and three, of three lanes, have been closed after a van and car crashed on J33, A630, at Catcliffe, Sheffield, and Rotherham. There has also been an oil spillage on the road, according to data traffic site Intrix.

Pictures from Motorway Cameras show cars filtering into one lane and traffic moving slowly. Congestion is building up in the area and is leading up to J32, M18.

A white van and grey Mercedes can be seen standing alone in the third lane on the M1, and two people wait beside their vehicles. It is not known at this time if emergency services are at the scene.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 8.45am and 9am. Follow live updates below.
