Live M25 closure traffic updates following vehicle fire

Two lanes of the M25[1] have closed near Oxted following reports that a vehicle burst into flames on Saturday, July 29. Lanes one and two, of four, moving in the anticlockwise direction have shut according to traffic data company Inrix.

The stretch of road[2] between junction’s 6 and 5 is where the closure is. Delays of up to 30 minutes is to be expected according to National Highways.

Inrix said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to vehicle fire on M25 anticlockwise between J6 A22 (Godstone) and J5 (M26 interchange). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed.”

National Highways said: “There are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic. Normal traffic conditions are expected between 15:15 and 15:30 on 29 July 2023”
