The Village area in the park will remain closed until Thursday morning.

A statement on social media by Latitude Festival said: "Due to the upcoming rail strikes, we are expecting major disruption on our busiest arrival day and would encourage all those coming to Latitude to plan ahead, even if you were not planning to travel by train.

"The cumulative impact of adding rail users to the road network will make Thursday travel in particular slower for you and the local community, so do consider travelling on Wednesday.

"For those wanting to beat the crowds and traffic, we will be opening the campsites and campervan fields a day early."

There are also strikes on the Greater Anglia network on Saturday, July 22 and disruption is expected on the surrounding days.
