Kettering A14 crash sees car hit the back of a ‘Volvo goods vehicle’

A Kettering[1] crash on the A14 saw a car hit the back of a “Volvo goods vehicle”. The collision occurred at around 9pm Sunday (July 9) and happened between junctions 9 and 10 on the westbound carriageway of the A14.

Northamptonshire Police[2] said a grey VW Tiguan was in collision with the rear of a white Volvo goods vehicle. The driver of the car, a man in his 20s from Birmingham, sustained slight injuries in the crash.

Pictures from the scene show a crumpled car on the carriageway, with traffic stopped as a result. A white HGV lorry can also be seen behind the vehicle, with emergency services on the scene.

The full Northamptonshire Police statement issued on Monday (July 10) said: “The collision occurred at about 9pm yesterday (Sunday, July 9), between junctions 9 and 10 on the westbound carriageway of the A14.

“It would appear a grey VW Tiguan was in collision with the rear of a white Volvo goods vehicle. The driver of the car – a man in his 20s from Birmingham – sustained slight injuries.”
