Investigation continues into 10.30pm town centre brawl

Police[1] are continuing to investigate a town centre brawl. Officers and paramedics[2] were called to Sheep Market, in Leek[3], to reports of a ‘small group of men fighting’.

As reported by StokeonTrentLive[4] paramedics assessed one patient following the trouble which flared at around 10.30pm on July 13. Staffordshire Police have previously confirmed that two men – aged 39 and 31 and both from Leek – had been arrested on suspicion of affray.

In an update, a spokesman for the force said: “Both have been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.”

Images from the scene at the time of the trouble showed at least two police cars at the scene. Anyone with information should contact the county force on 101.
