Hoylandswaine crash: Man dies after scooter hit by ambulance …

A man has died after a crash involving an ambulance and a scooter. It happened on the A628 Barnsley Road in Holylandswaine. Photo: Google

The crash happened on the A628 Barnsley Road in Holylandswaine, at the junction with the offshoot Barnsley Road, at about 10.25pm on Friday, July 28.

South Yorkshire Police said the scooter rider, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital but later died.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward, quoting incident number 1232 of 28 July 2023.
