Four people taken to hospital after A470 crash

Four people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A470 this morning. The incident took place near the Afon Gwyn Country House Hotel on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed.

The incident, which involved two vehicles, was first reported shortly before 10.30am. A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene.

"Four people were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd." Officers from North Wales Police[1] were in attendance too, assisting with the road closure.

The route was fully reopened shortly before 2.20pm.
