Woman’s body found on sand dunes near caravan park as death …
Police have confirmed that a woman's body was discovered on the sand dunes in Redcar.
Officers were called last Monday after the body of a woman had sadly been discovered, near the caravan park just off Majuba Road[1]. Eyewitness reports suggest a cordon was erected on the dunes that evening.
Cleveland Police[2] has now confirmed that the woman's death is not being treated as suspicious and that a file has been prepared for the coroner. Teesside Live visited the sand dunes on Saturday morning, where there was no police activity. One dog walker noted how he had heard of a police presence in the area earlier in the week.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the sand dunes near the caravan park at Redcar[4] on the evening of June 26 where very sadly a woman’s body had been discovered.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file was prepared for the Coroner. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family at this very difficult time."
