Essex roadworks and closures set to cause delays over the coming …
Roadworks across Essex are set to cause delays for some drivers in the county over the coming week. Temporary traffic lights remain in place on a number of roads in the county.
There are also a number of planned closures on major A-roads in the county including the A12 and the A120. The closures are set to be in place overnight throughout week.
EssexLive[1] has put together a list of some of the roadworks most likely to cause delays. All information is provided by National Highways and local authorities and is accurate as of publication.

Roadworks across Essex between Monday, July 31 and Sunday, August 6:
- A12 southbound Junction 16 to Junction 12 carriageway closure: Road set to be closed each evening between 8pm and 5am
- A12 northbound Junction 25 to Junction 26 carriageway closure: Road set to be closed each evening between 9pm and 5am
- A12 southbound Junction 29 to Junction 27 carriageway closure: Road set to be closed each evening between 9pm and 5am
- A120 eastbound Panner's Interchange to Marks Farm Roundabout carriageway closure: Road set to be closed eastbound every evening over coming week between 8pm and 6am.
- A129 Southend Road at Bridge Road has temporary lights until November 25 due to gas main work.
- A1240 Heathway near A1306 New Road has temporary lights until August 31 due to roadworks.
- A1306 London Road near New Tank Hill Road has temporary lights until September 1 due to roadworks.
- A1184 Cambridge Road near Old Road has temporary lights due to long-term roadworks until December 31
