Emergency services are at the scene of a two-car collision near Bembridge this afternoon (Thursday, July 20).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue were called at 1pm following reports of a two car collision on Mill Road.

Two appliances from Sandown and Ryde were sent to the incident, which happened at the roundabout, connecting Mill Road to Sandown Road, Steyne Road and Hillway Road.

Fire teams were joined by crews from the ambulance service and police.

One casualty was taken into the care on ambulance teams.

The fire service has made the scene safe and has since left.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have been contacted for a statement.
