Driver’s shock at M3 lorry and car collision in Eastleigh

Amritraj Singh was driving to Basingstoke with a friend this morning when the crash happened.

The pair, who were travelling on the northbound side of the motorway near junction 13, leapt into action after witnessing the crash.

Daily Echo:

Mr Singh said: “The crash happened right next to us; we saw it all happen in the rear view mirror.

“We quickly went on the hard shoulder and ran to the scene.

“We grabbed all the cones to stop the traffic, before seeing if the person in the car was ok.”

Luckily enough, an off duty traffic officer was in a car nearby, Mr Singh said.

“The person said they were a bit shaken so we kept them calm before the duty traffic officer took over.

“The officer radioed the police and a lady who knew first aid came to the scene.”
