The road remains closed while police investigate

Police are appealing for information after a two-vehicle collision today, (Monday 10 July,) on the A120 near Marks Tey.

Officers were called shortly before midday to reports of a collision between an HGV and a car on the stretch near to Poplar nurseries.

The car driver had sustained potentially life-changing injuries and the HGV driver sustained minor injuries. Both drivers have been taken to hospital for further treatment.

The road is likely to remain closed in both directions for hours while officers continue working at the scene.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and plan journeys.

A spokesperson said: “If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us”.
