Dogs ‘abandoned and left tied up’ in Cambs lay-by

Four dogs have been rescued after being found abandoned on a Cambridgeshire[1] layby. The animals were found tied up on the layby in Kimbolton.

Police and the Cambridge Dog Warden were called to the scene on Friday. The dogs are now being looked after at an animal shelter - with Cambridgeshire Police urging anyone with concerns about animals to contact the RSPCA.

Speaking on Saturday, a Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "Yesterday, our response officers came to the aid of four dogs in Kimbolton who were abandoned and left tied up in a public lay-by. Thankfully, with the help of Cambridge Dog Warden, the dogs are now safe and sound at Woodgreen Animal Shelter. Remember, if you need assistance with animal welfare concerns, report it to RSPCA."
