Crash with lorry leaves motorcyclist fighting for life in hospital
A motorcyclist is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash with a lorry in Angus on Monday morning.
At around 11.25am on July 24, emergency services rushed to the crash between a Kawaski motorbike and a Renault HGV on the B9113 at the Pitkennedy crossroads near Forfar.
The 26-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance where medical staff has described his condition as critical.
The 47-year-old male driver of the lorry did not require hospital treatment.
Road policing officers said that their enquiries are ongoing but any witnesses are urged to contact police.
Sergeant Gordon Dickson, from Tayside Divisional Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into this crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has information that may assist our investigation to please contact us.
“I would also ask anyone driving on this road around the time of the crash who has dash-cam to get in touch.“Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference number 1079 of July 24.”
