East Bierley Cricket Club, based at South View, East Bierley, has applied to Kirklees Council for a licence to sell alcohol and provide entertainment in the form of live and recorded music[1], making music, dance, films, indoor sport, and anything similar between 11am until 11.30pm, Mondays to Sundays.
Representations should be made in writing to Licensing Office, Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield, HD1 6LG or by email to [email protected] by Monday July 10, 2023.
Anyone wishing to inspect the licensing register may do so at the licensing office during normal office hours or online at kirklees.gov.uk/licensing.
In Bradford[2] an application to vary a premises licence to sell alcohol has been made. Galackray Ltd applied to Bradford Council on June 15 for a licence to use the external bar for the sale of alcohol at Dog & Gun, 142-144 St Enoch’s Road, Wibsey. They would like the outside bar to be included in the existing licence.
Representations should be made in writing to the Licensing Team, Argus Chambers, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX by Thursday July 13.
Anyone wishing to inspect the licensing register may do so at the Hall Ings address between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on Friday.
When commenting on an application it is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with it. This carries an unlimited fine.
Temporary road closures in the coming week include a section of Mill Lane, Bradford.
Rail works to be carried out on or near Mill Lane have resulted in the road being closed for around 20 meters either side of the railway bridge.
The traffic order is presently in force and will remain so until 6am on Wednesday July 5.
Alternative routes for traffic affected by this will be available via Mill Lane (the unaffected section), Manchester Road, Senior Way, Croft Street, Wakefield Road, Prospect Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Construction works to be carried out on or near the slip road – Barry Street and Westgate, Bradford, will mean the temporary closure of Barry Street and Westgate, from the junction with Barry Street to the junction with Westgate.
The order will come into effect at 9.30am hours on Sunday July 2 and remain in force until 3.30pm on Tuesday July 4.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Barry Street (the unaffected section), Grattan Road, New John Street, Westgate and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
