Boy, 15, suffers possible ‘life-changing injuries’ after pick-up truck …

A 15-year-old boy has suffered potentially 'life-changing injuries' following a collision with a pick-up truck. Now Cheshire Police[1] are appealing for witnesses following the crash in Little Neston[2].

Officers say the teen was cycling on Neston Road - close to the junction with the Wirral[3] Riding School - when he was involved in a collision with a black Ford Ranger. Officers investigating the 'serious incident' have now issued a plea for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5.20pm on Tuesday (July 18). The force says the boy sustained serious injuries to his pelvis, ribs and shoulders - and remains in hospital.

PC Natalie Iddon, of the force's roads and crime unit, said: "This was a serious incident, and the cyclist remains in hospital with injuries that could be life-changing.

“As part of our investigation, we are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. The same goes for anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage which may aid our enquiries."

Anyone with information should call the force on 101 and quote IML 1599550.
