Bodycam footage shows moment police find a ‘bag full of drugs’
Shocked police officers have told BirminghamLive[1] of the moment they discovered a “bag full of drugs” at a car they pulled over. Solihull[2] Police officers made the discovery after they stopped a car at the side of the road in Sheldon.
Officers from Lyndon, Elmdon, Olton and Silhill (LEOS) force shared a picture from the stop, which showed a still of what appear to be drugs in bags, taken from a bodycam. An officer can be seen handling the contents, wrapped up in a white plastic bag on the seat of the car.
Cash and mobile phones were also found following a search of the car, the force confirmed, and two men were arrested at the scene. Lyndon, Elmdon, Olton and Silhill (LEOS) shared a picture of the haul on their Twitter page on June 29, after the stop on on June 18.
A LEOS spokesperson said: “This was the moment PC Winter discovered a bag full of drugs, weighed out and measured in bags.” They went on to explain the car was stopped by LEOS Officers following ANPR intelligence.
An officer explained to BirminghamLive the car was stopped on Parkdale Road, in Sheldon. “Two men in the car were detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and searched, along with the car.
“Discovered under the passenger seat [was] a plastic bag containing 28 smaller bags of cannabis.” The officer confirmed that both men were arrested at the scene, and have since been bailed.
Three phones and a “large quantity of cash” were also seized.
