BMW driver tragically killed in lorry crash as police launch appeal

A man has tragically died after a crash in Staffordshire. A grey BMW and a Renault lorry collided on the A515 in Kings Bromley, Lichfield.[1][2]

Medics raced to the scene following the incident at around 7am this morning (July 17). But sadly, nothing could be done to save the driver of the BMW and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for a number of hours as emergency personnel worked at the location. And now police are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV of the crash which could help their investigations.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police[4] added that the driver of the lorry stayed at the scene and has been assisting officers with their enquiries. They said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision in Lichfield this morning (17 July).
