Biker taken to Royal Stoke in air ambulance after crash with van

A biker was taken to hospital by air ambulance following a collision with a van. Emergency services were called out to reports of a crash on Middlewich’s Holmes Chapel Road – outside the Shell petrol station.

Cheshire Police[1] say they found a Ford Transit Connect had been in a collision with a red Honda motorcycle. It is believed following the crash, which took place just before 8.50am on Thursday (June 29) the road was blocked.

Officers say the 32-year-old biker was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital[2] with a ‘serious injury to his leg’. Meanwhile the driver of the van was uninjured.

A spokesman for the force added: “No arrests were made.”
