Bid to trace pair after man hit with glass, punched and kicked

Police are trying to trace two people after a man was hit over the head with a glass, punched and kicked in a Sittingbourne[1] bar. The victim was attacked in Lang’s Bar and Cocktail Lounge on St Michael’s Road in the early hours of the morning.

Kent Police[2] said that at around 1.25am on Saturday, June 24, the victim was assaulted with the glass by a man he didn’t know. The man pushed the victim to the floor where he was punched and kicked.

Police said the man suffered deep lacerations to his face. While he was on the floor he was also kicked by a woman.

“Officers have previously issued CCTV images of a man they would like to talk to, and are now in a position to issue further images of the same person,” said police.

“A CCTV image of a woman is also being released. Anyone who recognises the man or woman in the CCTV should call 01795 419119 quoting reference 46/111751/23.”
