Baby taken to hospital after crash on busy Stoke-on-Trent road

A baby has been taken to hospital after a crash on a busy Stoke-on-Trent road. The collision happened in Hanley Road, in Sneyd Green, at its junction with Moxley Avenue, near the Sneyd Arms and Co-op store.

Now police officers in the city have confirmed a baby was in one of the cars and was taken to Royal Stoke in the wake of the crash, which officers say involved two cars yesterday afternoon, July 12.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Moxley Avenue, Sneyd Green, at 1pm yesterday (12 July) following reports of a collision involving a black Seat and a black Vauxhall Corsa.

“A baby, who was inside one of the cars, was taken to hospital as a precaution. The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene to assist us with our enquiries.”

It is understood that paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service did not attend the scene of the crash.
