Appeal for footage after lorry crash on A14 near Claydon

Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway at about 5.10am on Friday, June 9. [1]

Both the westbound and eastbound carriageway were closed for several hours as a result of the incident. 

A 50-year-old man[2] was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess drugs and possession of a Class B drug. 

He was subsequently released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detectives are today appealing for anyone who has dash cam footage or witnessed the manner of the driving at around the time of the collision to come forward. 

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “Officers investigating want to speak to anyone that witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage, or that witnessed the manner of driving of the vehicle and other vehicles at around the time of the collision as it made its journey from Felixstowe to the incident, which took place on the A14 westbound near to Claydon.”
