Air ambulance takes person to hospital after A494 crash which shut …

A person has been taken to hospital after a crash which shut a stretch of the A494 overnight. It happened between Bala[1] and Llanfor at around midnight and an air ambulance was called.

The road was shut by police, while emergency services worked at the scene. A North Wales Police[2] statement said: “Please be aware that the A494 road Bala to Llanfor is currently closed whilst officers deal with an RTC.” The force confirmed later the road had reopened.

A Welsh Ambulance Service[3] spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.38am and responded with a duty operations manager, an ambulance and a Charu (Cymru High Acuity Response Unit). An air ambulance was also called. A person was taken to hospital.”

There were no further details about the collision or the condition of the person.
