A38 crash sees girl, eight, taken to hospital

A young girl was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car on a busy road in Gloucestershire. The incident happened on the A38 at Stone[1] on Sunday (July 23) at around 10.20am.

The collision was reported near junction 14 for the M5 and there were reports of two ambulances at the scene treating a cyclist. It happened near All Saints Church and partially blocked the road in both directions until around noon.

Gloucestershire police[2] said: "A car was in collision with an eight-year-old girl on the A38 at Stone. The girl was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital to be checked over but her injuries were deemed to be non-serious."

Traffic maps reported slow delays around Stone Village Hall and the route towards Ham and Berkley. Inrix shared at the time: "Reports of slow traffic due to accident on A38 in both directions near All Saints Church."
