A24 live updates as lorry incident shuts West Sussex road near …

The A24^[1] in Horsham^[2] is closed on Tuesday morning (July 11) after an accident involving a lorry on the busy A-road. The southbound carriageway has been closed between the Findon Roundabout and the A283 The Pike following the incident.

A number of emergency services are at the scene, including Sussex Police^[3] and the West Sussex Fire and Rescue S^[4] ervice^[5]. Traffic was held before the road was fully closed in the southbound direction at around 10.25am.

The number of vehicles involved in the incident has not been confirmed. Traffic analytics company Inrix said: "A24 Findon By-Pass Southbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident, a lorry involved between A283 The Pike (Horsham) and A280 Long Furlong (Findon Roundabout, Findon). Since 10:25."
