A13 closed following serious collision

Police are tonight (Thursday) on the scene of a serious collision on the A13 Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on the London-bound carriageway just past the Orsett Cock roundabout at around 8.25pm.

The road is currently closed and a diversion is in place. Police say they are expecting the road to remain shut for some time and are asking the public to avoid the area and plan their journey.
