A1 partly closed near Grantham following crash – as it happened

A busy road in Lincolnshire was closed following a crash on Tuesday (July 11), police say. Barrowby Road in Grantham^[1], was closed in both directions.

The crash reportedly involved a lorry though no further details were released. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported that traffic is moving slowly.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police^[2] said the incident was reported to the force at 12.05pm on July 11. They added that motorists should avoid the area.

According to Google Maps, the A1 had also closed. Barrowby Road i was fully cleared by 7pm.
