A motorbike rider and pillion passenger have suffered “serious injuries” after a crash on the A29 in Horsham[1] earlier this month (July 2). The crash, which happened on Bognor Road at around 12.15pm, saw both the injured individuals hospitalised for their injuries.
In a public appeal by Sussex Police, the force said it is continuing enquiries to establish the “full circumstances” and is looking for a car that was spotted overtaking the bike shortly before the crash. The car in question officers are “particularly keen” to trace is a silver, medium-sized car.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police[2] said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were injured in a collision in Horsham. Emergency services were called to the A29 Bognor Road around 12:15pm on Sunday 2 July after reports a motorbike had crashed.”
They continued: “Both the rider and pillion passenger required hospital treatment for serious injuries. Officers are working to establish the full circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses, including anyone with relevant dash cam footage, to come forward.
“They are particularly keen to trace a silver, medium-sized car which was seen overtaking shortly before the collision. Anyone with information or footage from the area at that time is asked to contact Sussex Police online[4] or by calling 101 quoting serial 621 of 02/07.”
