23 acres of land east of Leicester with ‘development potential’ goes …
More than 20 acres of land to the east of Leicester with development potential[1] has gone on the market. Agents say the land is in a “prime location” and offers the chance for complete transformation – if planning permission is approved.
The land is located off the A47 Uppingham Road in Houghton on the Hill, which is east of Leicester city centre[2]. In all, agents Newton LDP Ltd say the site consists of 23.67 acres, or 9.58 hectares, of available land.
The current green space is described as “agricultural land with strategic development potential”. The exact details on the kind of development is not made clear, but it could potentially become housing.
Sales details confirm that the land is “gently sloping” and has “good road frontage” to Uppingham Road itself. Those interested building on the site would need to seek permission from Harborough District Council[4], according to Newton LDP.
The agents, who confirm this is a freehold deal, say the high has much potential. William Young, Director of Newton LDP Ltd, said: “We are delighted to bring this prime strategic land opportunity to the market on behalf of our clients.
“This is a fantastic site with strong development potential, superbly located just five miles from Leicester city centre, and 10 miles north of Market Harborough. It offers a rare opportunity to acquire some freehold land in such a sought-after location and we expect to receive strong interest.”
More information about the land can be found on the Newton LDP Ltd website.
