Woman fighting for her life in hospital after crash with car and lorry

Two people remain in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries following a collision between a car and an HGV. It happened on Monday (June 19) at 4.11pm on the A143 Beccles road, close to the junction with Loddon Road in Haddiscoe.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, including the fire and ambulance services. The road was reopened at 10.40pm. Two vehicles were involved in the collision; a blue Vauxhall Agila and a Scania HGV.

The passenger of the Vauxhall was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains. The driver of the Vauxhall was taken to the James Paget University Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information regarding the manner of driving prior to the collision or who may have any dashcam footage of the incident.
