Vintage Week coming to North Norfolk Railway in 2023
Vintage Week takes place across the North Norfolk Railway and its stations from Saturday, July 1 until Sunday, July 9.
On July 1, historic coaches and buses will descend on Holt Station, with visitors able to travel on selected vehicles running between there and Sheringham from 10.15am until 5.15pm.
On Sunday, July 2, the buses at Holt will be joined by more than 300 classic cars, lorries and vans and there will also be vintage motorbikes at Sheringham and vehicles from the North Norfolk Minors Club at Weybourne.
On the tracks, the railway’s magnificently-restored Victorian carriages will be in action for all nine days.
The vintage train is scheduled to be hauled by the Y14 locomotive No 564, which is 111 years old.
A second steam engine will be running each day hauling 1950s and 60s carriages.
Graham Hukins, the commercial manager, said: “Vintage Week is a great celebration of road and rail transport.
“We are particularly pleased to be able to offer visitors the rare opportunity to also travel on a variety of buses and coaches.”
