Trains disrupted from Bristol after vehicle hits bridge
Trainlines between Bristol Temple Meads[1] and Bath Spa stations were cancelled after a vehicle hit a bridge this afternoon (June 14). Trains between the two stations were delayed, revised or cancelled this afternoon, passengers were warned.
In a service update, National Rail told passengers disruption is expected until 3.45pm today (June 14). The bridge struck was in Whitby Road which was also closed for a time. By 2.30pm both road and rail services had returned to normal.
Great Western Rail told passengers "all lines are blocked" between the stations.
