Taxi driver killed in horror A61 Harrogate Road crash – YorkshireLive

A taxi driver has tragically died after a serious crash near Harrogate[1] at the weekend.

A grey BMW collided with a black Peugeot taxi on the A61 Harrogate Road at around 1.20am on Sunday, June 18, near Dunkeswick, North Yorkshire Police said. The taxi driver, a man in his 40s, sadly died at the scene.

His family are currently being supported by specially trained officers. The BMW driver, a man in his 20s, is still in hospital.

Police closed the A61 at the crash site until 3.20pm on Sunday afternoon while accident investigation work was carried out. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
