Road closure near Abingdon causes disruption to bus services

Bus services to a village near Abingdon[1] have experienced disruption as heavy rainfall has caused traffic chaos in the area.

The Oxford[2] Bus Company is reporting that it is unable to serve Marcham due to a road closure.

The A34 was closed between Abingdon and Hinksey[3] during rush hour on Tuesday following a crash which has caused severe delays.

This closure has disrupted the bus company’s X1 services and the following stops cannot be served: Marcham War Memorial, Frilford Petrol Station, Garford Turn and Asfhields Lane.

Due to a road closure in Marcham X1 services are currently diverting. We are currently unable to serve the following stops:

Marcham War MemorialFrilford Petrol StationGarford TurnAsfhiels Lane
