Police swarm Cleethorpes street following reports of a man carrying …
A 43-year-old man is in custody after he was believed to have been carrying a knife in broad daylight on a Cleethorpes[1] street.
At around 3pm on Wednesday, police were called to Market Street in the resort following reports of an altercation between two men known to each other, in which one man is believed to have been in possession of a knife.
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody.
Thankfully, no-one is believed to have been injured during the incident.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police[3] said: “A 43-year-old man remains in our custody after we received reports of a man believed to be in possession of a knife on Market Street, Cleethorpes at around 3pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 21 June).
“It is reported that an altercation took place between two men known to each other where a man is believed to have been in possession of a knife.
“Officers were deployed to Market Street and a man was swiftly arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured.
