A man has been found dead at a house in Glen Parva[1]. Police were called to the scene in Wokingham Avenue late on Saturday (June 3), following concerns for his welfare.

Officers were called at around 9.30pm on Saturday to the address following calls about the man’s welfare. Police attended with East Midlands Ambulance Service[2] where inside the property a man was found.

Paramedics declared the man, who has not been formally identified, dead at the scene. Cordons were subsequently erected in the area as investigations got underway.

In a statement, a spokesman for Leicestershire Police[4] confirmed today that the man’s death was not suspicious. He said: “Shortly before 9.30pm on Saturday, June 3, officers attended an address in Wokingham Avenue following a call concerning the welfare of the occupant.

"Police attended with the East Midlands Ambulance Service and found a man inside, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. Identification of the deceased is a matter for HM Coroner.”
